Research Assistant in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at McGill University, QC, Canada
Position Summary:
- Analyze microbial biomarkers in permafrost soils
- Extraction and purification of organic biomarkers using standard organic geochemical techniques
- Quantify and identify biomarkers using gas-chromatography mass-spectrometry
- Process and interpret mass spectrometry data
Qualifications:
- Background in organic geochemistry
- Background in using mass spectrometry
- Previous experience with extraction and purification of biomarkers
- Previous experience with extraction and purification of organic biomarkers using standard organic geochemical techniques
- Masters degree
Hourly Salary: $28.44
Hours per Week: 20 (Part time)
Location: Adams Building
